There are various ways to recycle and reuse waste tires. Below, the editor briefly introduces some common methods of waste tire recycling:
1. As auxiliary fuel: Waste tires have a calorific value of over 8,000 kcal, higher than coal at 5,000 kcal, and the ash residue after burning is comparable to that of coal. Therefore, they are suitable for industries requiring high thermal energy. For example, cement plants, power plants, paper mills, steel mills, and smelting plants use waste tires as fuel, which works well and can reduce production costs to some extent.
2. Pyrolysis: Waste tires are crushed into pieces and sent into a pyrolysis reactor, where they undergo thermal decomposition when heated, followed by oil and gas separation.
3. Grinding into powder: Waste tires can be processed into rubber powder using tire recycling equipment. Rubber powder is widely used in highways, airport runways, flame-retardant materials, rubber and plastic soles, waterproof materials, sports tracks, and other fields.
