1.Preprocessing and Feeding: First, the hub (rim) is removed from the tires manually or mechanically, and the whole tires are conveyed onto the production line.
2.Coarse Crushing: A large crusher (double-shaft shear crusher) tears and breaks the whole tires into rubber pieces about 50-100 mm in size.
3.Steel Wire Separation: The rubber pieces pass through a steel wire separator. Through vibration, screening, and magnetic separation, most of the steel wires are initially separated from the rubber pieces, resulting in clean rubber blocks.
4.Medium and Fine Crushing and Grinding: The clean rubber blocks are further crushed into smaller particles (e.g., 10-20 mm), then sent to a grinder, where they are ground into 1-5 mm or even finer rubber powder.
5.Fine Sorting: This is a critical step. Using multi-layer vibrating screens, high-precision magnetic separators (to remove residual fine steel wires), and fiber separators (such as air or electrostatic separation to remove nylon/polyester fibers from the tire body), the process ultimately produces three main products: pure rubber granules/powder, steel wires, and fibers.
